VAZA is an AR app for easily creating a one of a kind vase.

Many products look pretty much the same and lack value. I wanted to give shoppers a way to design unique objects for their own living spaces using a fun, interactive app.

Competitors/ Benchmarks

Most online services for manufacturing a user’s design use 3d printing, CNC and Vacuum Forming technologies, rely on the user having previous experience in 3d software and separate the design and manufacturing processes.

Wireframing

In the future, mining for materials will be done in space. I envisioned an interactive dashboard, designed for space miners. It scans the asteroid and collects data.

Getting started

Aim your camera, confirm the location and a realistic 3d model of a vase appears. You can choose from four size categories to start with.

Parameters

The user can control the shape, material, color and texture. The weight and price are updated according to the model.

Adjusting the shape

Adjust the shape by moving the anchor points. Shaping the model freehand is intuitive and fun but using the anchor points allow the user more accuracy and control.

Tools

Ceramic designers use shaping tools. Choose a tool and decide its starting and finish points by moving them up or down.
